Frequently Asked Questions

Jane Torvaney has over 30 years of experience as a Chartered Physiotherapist working throughout the UK in a variety of settings and specialities.

At your first visit, you will be asked questions about your health and well-being both past and present and any medication you are currently taking. A detailed history of what brings you to the clinic will be discussed and lots of time is available for you to share your concerns and ask questions. Following this will be a physical assessment, treatment of the condition and a plan to support you and your body once you leave the clinic, including a personalised exercise plan where appropriate.

Loose, comfortable clothing is best. If it is an upper body condition you are coming with, wearing a vest top would be useful and if it is a lower body condition bringing or wearing shorts would support the assessment.

Each condition is different, and each person is unique therefore it is only after the initial meeting and assessment that a treatment plan can be discussed. Some people require only assessment and advice and others need ongoing treatment for a period.
